goodbyeblighty: The Qur’an - Mecca The Islamic holy book is on every flat surface in Mecca. There are literally tens of thousands of copies in the Great Mosque. Whenever you have a moment and you don’t know what to do you can pick up a copy and read a few pages. It’s the second most peaceful place in the world (after the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina) and the whole environment is set up in a way where you can just lose yourself in worship. Worship that is even more rewarding during Ramadan.
